Louise Hodges doesn't do hardcore anymore, and hasn't done any for several years, Nici Stirling has moved to America because she can make more money/ bigger market etc over there presumably.
Don't agree with your view of the quality of girls in King Ben's films or Sir McCavities - quality girls from where I'm wa..
standing!

Ivorsemion,
I think u fail to appreciate the true beauty of Britporn. If I wanted to see women as sexy as Louise Hodges or Nic Sterling, then I would buy an American flick where all the women are "perfect" for want of a better word. However, loads of men in this country, myself included, choose Britporn every time for the simple reason that the girls are "normal". Those 'pierced mongrels' are girls that we might bump into one day in the street, who don't have boobjobs and don't pretend to be someone they aren't- they are "girl's next door". This is what makes Britporn great. I agree that its always nice to see great-looking girls like Nici but at the end of the day, Britporn is best.

And Nicci Sterling DID in fact do two scenes for the Benster that I can think of. He might have filmed the occasional rough looking girl but also some nice ones. In any case beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people like tatooed & pierced chip-shop slappers. Please no outraged responses from the feminists out there. The term "chipshop slapper" is a compliment where I come from. And if you think the girls Benathy shoots are bad you should see my local pub on a friday night.

Sorry for darkening the door of this forum with the name of Seymore Butts but I think that britporn could do worse than taking some tips from him. Generally he makes no attempt to disguise the fact that the girls are pro actresses having a bit of extra fun (why disguise the fact that they're getting paid, everyone knows it and I prefer a bit of realism) - no silly pseudonyms and pretending to be a first timer who Pascal happened to meet in a club the night before when everyone recognises them anyway. And Butt's scenes don't conform to the stereotyped sequence of strip, bj, her on top, him on top, anal, cumshot etc. Why always in that order? You know what's coming next by watching the tape counter - 20 mins in and it must be time for the pop shot. Its nothing to do with the attractiveness of the girls/guys (each to his own) but more with the editing. If we can't compete with the yanks on production costs then let's at least show more imagination and verve.

As far as I'm concerned Ben Dover is the best porn producer out there. Full stop. His vids are consistently better than the work of any others that I have seen and the only ones that I buy as a matter of course. Why? Funny, sexy girls, hot scenes.

In a class of his own - thats my tuppence on the subject!!

Here, here.

Surely he's made an impact.........just look at the amount of threads on the topic.

Ben my man, keep them coming.

Your little one liners are great, my fav. is when you said Bob was trying out for the circus with his check troosers with Sexy Shakina in Buggers Banquet.

Hail, hail to the Ben meister !!!!

My favourite Ben line is where the girl (can't remember which film this is in), a brunette has taken a load on her face and Ben with his usual bad aim, he has managed to unload in the girl's eyes causing her mascara to start to run. As she turns blinking to the camera The Maestro asks her to give us a quick chorus of "Schools Out"!!!!
The Man's a Star!!!

I haven't got time to go through all the points made here, most of them I've addressed either here or on my own forum. May I just say a big vote of thanks to all you guys who've come to my defence on this thread, especially for remembering some of the dialogue. Priceless! No-one's mentioned the Holly Bush scene, which I think has one of the best lines Ben has ever come up with, but it was only released soft so maybe not a lot of people saw it. Seriously though, despite having become very wealthy and successful with Ben [so deep down I know I'm for the most part getting it right] I do care what people think about my body of work. I've been in this wonderful business we call 'show' in one way or another since I was 17, and as we all know you can't please everyone. OK, so is it time for me to 'get off porno beach before the tide comes in'? You tell me. One criticism was that my movies have a set formula. Of course they do, and it's one that seems to have worked. As a result I'm loathe to change it too much. That makes sense doesn't it? As an analogy; Simply Red have a formula, that's why he's a multi millionaire. People know what to expect. They feel safe in that knowledge. You wouldn't get Mick Hucknall recording a heavy metal album would you? No, so there you go. One more thing; there must be something about what I do 'cos in the last 2 or 3 years there's been more than enough people copying me, that's for damn sure as mustard. There rests the case for the defence. P.S. Someone said something like "Why don't you ever shoot any really top girls like Louise Hodges or Nici Sterling". I was the first person to shoot Nici, and she's done 2 Ben Dover scenes. And er.. Louise Hodges, a 'top girl' Mmmm, I think you may need help mate!!! Won't say any more, last time I did a post about Louise 'Jaffa' Hodges it got deleted.

-------

But wouldn't you rather be someone like The Beatles? Managing to re-invent yourself and yet still staying at the top, almost single handed pushing your industry forward, and with every release becoming better at your craft? Then 30 years after you've retired people will still be trying to better what you did all those years ago? The Beatles will never be forgotten, Mick Hucknell hopefully will.

But then again it's only porno ;-)
