You know I knew a porn star that was killed in the line of her job - really sad and the person that caused it was so inconsiderate. I mean doing 38 in a 30 limit was pretty stupid and she walked out in front of him when going to do a scene without warning.....
Life is full of unknowns - we all take risks and Im afraid this aids lark is always going to be there this will pass over and then it will get back to business as usual, you cant regulate this in the same way as other businesses were regulated there are too many unknowns. What if that performer had a partner that did somethign with someone else unknown to them ? the ring outwards opens up the exposure risk very quickly. Years ago the diseases were treatable but Aids is different. Condom use is also seen as unsexy - no matter how hard they tried to make it look sexy rolling some bit of latex over a dong just doesnt look sexy and watching that slip in and out of what ever oriface you just feel that its not quite 100% there, its not real sex as its desensitised.
It may just get to the point where it becomes enforced and the main names are just not allowed to work without the proper PPE. Cant work if you dont skin up....The industry did self police but when the odd infection slips through it scares the wits out of the industry. Death just aint sexy.
