try it and let me know but best to shut down all programs including anti-virus and run the program and see if it works.

If you don't want to fully remove any downloaded programs just make sure you have a firewall installed...you'd be amazed at how many programs are sending your info back to base especially those of the microsoft kind-Real One Player is one of the worst I've experienced of late...damn where near froze my computer

Shouldn't be to hard to uninstall AOL
As I said to you previously covered this a while back...just do a search under AOL

This all explains a great deal. I've been losing mail to AOL contacts for months.

Is AOL part of the Microsoft/McDonald's/Starbucks/Coca-Cola axis planning to take over the planet?

Every computer forum I'd been on has bagged AOL for being the least compatible with any Windows Version so I'd say no they're not part of the Axis of Evil

Time to go back to Real Player 8

Most of the big names that put out new updated versions of whatever product seem to be adding extra tracking to the total package

Other names caught adding on all sorts of nasties for tracking purposes were Netscape,AIM & Winamp

A decent firewall should prompt you when this sort of crap takes place
