A Mr Spider, I presume?
No, that's too obvious: Mr Red-Kneed Tarantula, perhaps?
Of the Adelaide Tarantulas?

And does anyone know how to get vodka-burns off denim?

On a slightlly different angle, ages ago one of our friends staggered off to the local off-licence, cunningly called "Evening Booze" to pick up supplies;he found the shop had just shut. But not wanting to be a party-pooper,in front of the shop he spotted a bottle of unopened dirt cheap sherry in a brown paper bag, which in all probability had just been left temporarely by a dosser while he went for a quick slash.so he thought that'll do,and the sad part is we were all that fucked that when he got back we all had a sip.
I dont suppose the dosser was too chuffed when he realised his 1? 39p had vanished.
p.s the bottle was unopened.

Can't say I've ever heard them knowingly M

I've read one article about them in a Virgin year in music book 1982
under where are they now?

I guess i didn't need anything else other than Madness

Still doesn't ring a bell

Wouldn't surprise me if they never got any airplay downunder

Quite a lot of what was in the UK charts never made an impact in OZ

Remember watching our Countdown program and nearly every top10 between OZ & the UK never had any similar groups

The only exceptions that pop to mind being Madness,The Jam & Queen

The book I mentioned lists

The Beat,Selecter,Madness and The Specials as 2 Tone groups(I thought it was a record style not company...doh!!!!!)

Can honestly say I've only ever heard music from Madness

Sounds like The Specials had a fun tour in Autumn 1980...mini riots in at Cardiff & Newcastle followed by a full scale fracas at Cambridge
