The 2nd test is reading like a script from a soap opera at present

Safe to say that Warne,Lee & Kasper won't get the required runs
If only we had McGrath at eleven ;-)

Whoever manages to win the third test which starts almost immediately will most likely take the series IMHO.England should start favourite the way their Bowlers are going

The Aussie Attack without Mc Grath looks very pedestrian and judging by the way Pietersen & Flintoff(With Shoulder In) have flayed it around several times,IS

What a sensational game of cricket this second test has been - 1981 all over again !

Absolutely!.

Pure entertainment. I could do with two TVs, as switching back and forth from the athletics is giving me a callous on my remote control finger

Wow - What a finish

I specifically didn't reply to Deuce's post last night as I didn't want to tempt fate and just as well.

It was dramatic right to the last.

I listened to the Melbourne game in 82 where Jeff Thompson and A.N Other nearly knocked of the 38 runs for victory. I saw bits of the Perth Test (I was in Australia at the time) when the West Indies won the game by 3 runs and I've read about the two tied games but this was probably the most dramatic that I have seen albeit on television.

I'd still say Headingly in 1981 was the best but this one was pretty close to it. Damn close actually.

In the end as Justin Langer said the game of cricket won today.

The best team one over the 4 days

Would have been criminal for Australia to have won given how many times they beat the bat or had balls land in between fielders trying to take the last 2 wickets

I'd bet if they had lost Simon Jones would have been plastered all over the papers dropping the catch 15 runs out.

Got to wonder why he wasn't bowled at all on the last day

I must admit to being puzzled by Michael Vaughans field placing on the final morning as there were far too many easy singles on display and he was too defensive.

He got away with it though.

Is it me or has the quality of the batting in these two Tests been shocking?

Too many shots played and only a couple of batsmen trying to get their heads down for a long innings.
