Never had the misfortune to read either of them
Archer would be writing from experience,RIGHT!!!!?
Of all the authors I've read Stephen Donaldson gets it just about right
when it comes to 2 or more books in a series

Never could understand why rape was always so central to his books, though.
Haven't tried the latest Covenant books either.

I've never read Archer but he's prbably got a fixation on the topic
All the media paint him as a right nasty pice of work
I've no inclination to read the last 4 volumes of thomas covenant
given that I no longer have the first 6 volumes(given away last year)
I just find the prices being asked for new paperbacks to be way over the top
given that if you read a paperback too often you can almost guarantee it will fall apart as my LOR did after 3 readings
For mine paperbacks should be about 50% of a hardback but almost to a tee their in the vicinity of 75/80%
