I guess the reason most models ? and indeed a lot of guys ? don?t post is because they feel intellectually intimidated by the level of some of the debates and discussions. They probably feel that if they inadvertently say something stupid they could be verbally torn to bits by the intellectual big guns and industry 'insiders' of the forum. I, on earlier occasions, believe it or not, even felt a twinge of this myself, so I know it to be the case. However, nowadays, with my industry experience and talent for objective logic I feel more than confident to verbally take on anyone here, even if they seem more academically accomplished than my good self.
Officer Dibble.

Anyone who voices an opinion or criticism must expect a reaction.
However, that should not deter people from making their views known. Providing they have a valid point, it matters not if they can spell correctly or whatever.
We sometimes have a go at each other, but it does not come down to "Pistols at Dawn"!

I dont post much on here and when i do its short. Its sad but in life you get people who prefer to critisise, rather than encourage. There's a world of difference between constructive critisism and being nasty. Just ignore the latter.

This place wouldn't be the same without the input from the models, and it's a shame if they, and various people who wish to contribute, are put off by a few ill-informed, rude idiots who couldn't find their own aresholes with a map. These are the equivalent of the playground bullies, and they only have power if we let them terrorise us. Starve them of attention, ignore their ridiculous claims. Who knows, they might go away.
We need more from Layla and Cathy, Wendy and Chanta; we need to hear what Autumn and other newish models have to say. And there are dozens, if not hundreds, who are disenfranchising themselves by being afraid to comment here. If what you have to say is crap (as at least 50% of my contributions have been), the moderators will tell you or the regulars will put you right. No one, not even Alec (:)) is born knowing everything.
You guys and gals have information to pass on, wants that could help the film producers, questions that can be answered here. Don't let a few obnoxious trolls put you off.
A Big One.....

I suspect that the majority of models view the job as just that, a job, and have little interest in the industry other than to go to work, get paid and go home to get on with their lives. I'm in the rail inustry, and nothing would bore me more than to spend hours talking shop on some spotters' website, although I'm happy to answer questions when asked....
....which brings us to accusations from certain self-appointed 'Myrmidons of the Law'. I have frequently been obnoxious, or just plain rude, to some posters here, usually as a result of tiredness, for which I always later apologise.
I have NEVER, to the best of my knowledge, been rude to/about a model.
I'am only seriously rude to a poster when confronted with stupidity, rahther than ignorance. The main POINT of this place is for the exchange of information, so it would be a bit rich to pan people just for asking even basic questions (if the answer has just appeared three threads below, or is accessible via a short search, however, one does get a TEENSY bit tetchy...).
It's axiomatic that the majority of posters here will be male, and thus the forum may seem a little intimidating for women, perhaps analogous to walking into a bar-full of men: if the 'machismo' can be leavened by a little humour, or even outright lunacy, then I'm all for it if it enmcourages more models to post. Which I rather think it has, on the available evidence.....as for the lurkers, I frequently post to the effect that I only bite when provoked, or when requested to do so.

So Officer Dibble thinks models might feel intellectually intimidated by the level of some of the debates and discussions'. I see, I'm a porn actress therefore I must be thick huh? Never mind that I've taken part in university debating society debates about porn. Maybe it's stereotypical views like that that put people off!
Porn actress doesn't mean stupid. Porn Producer doesn't mean rip-off merchant. Porn lover doesn't mean sad pervert. OK?
I will post/reply if I think I can contribute to a debate/answer questions and it's interesting. Sometimes things do get a little banal and some threads sometimes go off at a tangent which can be annoying. However, I'm staying and often sing the praises of the BGAFD to those who haven't heard of it.

If there's one thing I have learned from viewing the posts on this forum, it's that stereotypes are bollocks. Anyone who thinks that porn models/actresses are stupid should look at some of the things Wendy and the others have posted. Thickies, they're not! Stereotypes are just lazy thinking.

Now, now, Wendy, I didn?t quite say that did I? Because it is self evidently not the case. I also don't have stereotypical views about anything. I arrive at my opinions through objective observation and analysis of the data coming in from the world around me. However, while one should not generalise, "stereotypical" views about anything did not come about by accident, or chance - there's no smoke without fire, is there? Also, the thrust of my argument included guys as well as models - which you chose to ignore in your blinkered indignation at the perceived slight against models. I wasn't particularly having a go at anyone here, just highlighting a possible explanation to the original question. If you feel that my argument was wrong do you have an alternative explanation why all those other models and lurkers, etc, do not post? Because if they really were so clever and felt aggrieved they would have no fear of crossing metaphorical pens with the likes of Officer Dibble, would they now?
And I must say I feel quite flattered that Wendy considers me one of the few posters that can file a non-banal post worthy of her putting digit to keyboard and posting a response! More please (I love it when she's angry.)
Officer Dibble ? always did think Wendy was one of the horniest models.

I think that most lurkers tend not to post here because debating with people who use arguments like "there's no smoke without fire" is a total waste of effort.
