That's why I don't debate here. A lot is lost without body language and face-to-face, a lot of folk are just intersted in their own opinion, and etiquette goes out the window as, behind a keyboard, they can be cocky as they like, whilst in reality they wouldn't say boo to a goose.

I agree, although on the other hand, people who are shy and introvert may not get to say what they want to in a face-to-face conversation, so in this instance, the internet is ideal for them.
There's good and bad in everything I suppose.

Debate is a puzzler; there is no real winner, except where there is a system with rules governing proceedings.
Which tend to happen only in a Court of Law.
I prefer to discuss ideas, hypothesise- it's very hard to sway people from their core beliefs.
