Paraffin was better if I could get my hands on it. They took longer to die and I preferred the smell to be honest.

Someone tried to nick my bike one day in 1985. It was a mountain bike. It was new and I'd only had it for about three weeks. I locked it to a lampost and went into a shop. When I returned I found this scumbag trying to saw off the lock! This cunt looked about 60 and I told him to 'fuck-off!". He became aggresive so I ended up having to give him a "slap" or two. Needless to say he didn't get to ride my bike to his hovel.

I said he looked about 60 years old. I don't know whether he was actually 60 years old. He might have aged to appear 60 because of the drink/drugs he was using?

The answers to my question on this forum were predictable and idiotic. It is all a joke to you pathetic individuals that care nothing that in England your loss of civil liberties are disappearing so fast that all you can do is laugh!

I haven't heard that story and I find it hard to believe.
Not so much the sex with the bike (which is strange, but then so are lots of sexual practices...) as the legal consequences. Do you have a reference?

Now found it on the beebs web site.

I find it pretty outrageous. To some extent it appears to be the man's fault for having pleaded guilty for disturbing the peace, but I doubt he realised then it would have these consequences.

Frankly, that's not what the sex offenders register should be for.

And there was me thinking it happened in Scotland. Let me know when the invasion and rebranding happened.

There is no way this should have gone to court. A number of years ago, someone was done for having sex with a paving slab, and there was a court case in England (yes, England, Englandshire) where a trainload of folk brought to a halt out in the country were given a front row seat of a man having sex with a sheep or goat. But that was in public. Cycle man was at it behind a locked door, and if the cleaners walked in on him then that was their problem.
