How many psychiatrists does it take to change a lightbulb?
None- the lightbulb must really want to change itself .
!doh! Apologies.

Definite psychiatrist-envy, a bit of OCD too. I don't know if there is a disorder or illness fo being a bit gullible or naive.
He is very focussed on this subject, and this alone, so there may be autism in the mix too.

Oh, and a definite wikipedia addict: a lot of his psycholoigal gubbins uses layman's terms, and a lot of his 'dicussion' includes a link to this site, whose 'facts' may not actually be correct.
I think in future, olay, if you are going to come out with your aasumptions, you will have to have some explanation and justification behind it, not just a list or a wiki link. You will have to put a valid case forward.
I don't think you read up on the subject at all; no journals, no books, no scientific papers- I think you've been sucked in by wikipedia. Just my opinion.

You may be on to something there, Sam. Maybe he studies for self-assessment, then puts it out here to see if it's accepted or ridiculed/ stigmatised.
!hmmm!

Did you see his answer to my assessment? He denied nothing but did say: "I am not primarily concerned what someone's opinion is" which is weird. If he's not interested in other people's opinions, then why post?
Did he mean 'I'm not interested in other people's opinions of me' or, 'I'm not interested in other people's opinions on mental illness'? It cannot be the latter as he posts about mental illness constantly, so it must be the former. But he must be trying to deny me my victory!
He could study mental illnesses by reading up on what others have to say, without expressing his own assessments and conclusions. It's pretty obvious he wants other people's opinions on them, and thus: does care.....at least enough to post anyway.
I could go deeper and say that my assessing him, was really putting myself in his shoes, and thus assessing myself? Anyone with that assumption would probably be right. Don't we all put ourselves in someone else's shoes when trying to premeditate their thoughts and actions? It doesn't mean we'd commit the same actions, but we must at least think of them to dismiss them!
Trumpy gave back an old womans purse not long ago, who'd left it at the check-out. He called her and gave the lady her purse back. To know what the right thing is, you must consider the wrong thing that contrasts it, so we can consider how we'd 'get rid of that dead body' without having any inclination to murder.
I'm drifting aren't I? Go on - say I'm drifting.....
Anyway, olay wants our attention, acceptance, and maybe our admiration.

Attention! Standing out from the crowd! He wants someone to ask 'what's behind your username olay?' so I'll ask.
@ olay: What's behind your unusual username?
