Well I hope the police find him. His car must also be in a mess given your take on the accident. He shouldn't be too hard to find.

The cunt that ran over and killed my fiancee before driving off? I saw the whole thing, got a mobile pic of the car including a really clear shot of his number plate.

Are you telling me that the police never checked out the numberplate of a driver that, according to witnesses, killed someone in a hit and run?
If that's the case I would have taken it to a lawyer, the local paper and my MP.
I'm sorry for your loss but I can't comment further as I don't know the details. I can only inform you that for the most part, the police do take such things seriously because if they didn't there'd be public outrage and a media frenzy.

The exact same thing happened to my brother 3 years ago guys and he didn't/couldn't get a penny back.

I'm glad I don't drive tbh. It's supposed to make your life easier and less stressful but every friend/family member/acquaintance I've come across with a car always give off the opposite vibe.
