I think you'll find that the ordinary tight riding breeches are indeed jodphurs. The type of riding breeches you mention were indeed part of the dress uniform for German army officers, but Hitler never wore them, because he wasn't an army officer. If you look at photos you see he almost always wore a grey double breasted tunic and black trousers. And I don't recall ever seeing Prince Chaz ever wearing this type of riding breeches. For some reason they seem to have gone out of fashion after the war, can't think why.
