Like I said, Blue Bird movies were widely distributed in North America on DVD and cable/satelllite.
I believe Pure Play was involved in some of their DVD distribution (BB was previously involved with
Fraserside/Private but there was some acrimonious separation in 2010).
Their large budget titles (the Bonnie & Clyde and Batman/Catwoman spoofs) got
a lot of industry write ups and attention. But in my view they flooded the porn market
too quickly with their hectic release schedule.
If you just look at my previous post you will note that only 2 weeks separated two very high
budget titles like "Bonny and Clide" (Sept 14/2010) and "BatFXXX: Dark Knight Parody" (Sept 28/2010).

I don't know what you mean by "classics". Are you referring to "movie spoofs"/porn parodies?
C.Clark and J. Silvera have not waded in that genre as far as I know, and have not
done any "dramatic" movies in ages, unless I missed something. Rob Black has
basically concentrated on his radio talk show/blog for the last 18 months or so, and
does not seem to have the required financing/budgets to do big budget parodies or dramatic movies.
Ben Dover? Tanya Hyde? What would make you say that?

In the US right now, high-end productions have been dramatically curtailed.
"Gone" are Digital Playground, Vivid, Hustler, who have either scaled down or stopped.
The only one porn studio that seems still in the game is Wicked, and the top dog there
is the recently acquired director A. Braun, who has made a name for himself in the "porn parody"
category. Wicked/Braun have just released the "Snow White XXX" porn parody.

The only other director who has been given high budgets to work with is Brad Armstrong (who
has been working at Wicked for the past several years).

Nicholas Steele was associated with Blue Bird Pictures at the time Paul Chaplin owned the
company but after Chaplin left in May 2012 I have no idea what happened top him.
