Matt is 100% correct. When we allowed members to create their own logging we were detecting about 20-30 abused accounts per day. About 6 months ago we changed to letting CCBill generate a random login and password and we now detect maybe 1 a week if even that!

Naming & Shaming is rather pointless
Might make you feel better but its not going to stop the password violations
Security is the ownly answer
As a punter I had a password to a newsgroup cancelled on me for supposebly sharing it about when I clearly had not and haven't been back since.
