Well, it seems the public have made up their minds as I was in Sainsburys and The Who's Greatest Hits Triple CD set is down from ?22.99 to ?9.99 in less than 4 days. It DOES make you wonder though, remember Bill Wyman and Mandy Smith a decade or so back? I don't recall HIM being branded a paedophile, I recall it was 'Good ol' Bill' at the time. Mandy was 13 when they were shagging

'(I would hazard a guess that you dont have kids?)'
People who don't have kids are paedophiles?
I thought the statics showed that paedophiles were mainly parents or close relatives/people they knew.

An excellent, enlightened and objective post Fonz. Keep up the good work. It was only yesterday that 'The Sunday Times' was talking about "pornography" and "child porn" in the same breath and that's supposedly an objective paper for intelligent people.

I think Nic means that parents have some God given right to give way to "hysteria" and "lynch law".
I'm a parent and I disassociate myself from this view.

Without bringing the whole thing up again, if your doing research on such a sensitive subject, why download it! I mean you still have the subject matter to study, but once you decide to download, you have committed a crime.

Step-kids, yes, so that 'argument' won't wash.
My point, before the hysterics start, is that the police are better off using their scarce resources to tackle serial offenders and known organisations rather than trying their luck with a disparate group of individuals who may or may not contain even one genuine paedo.
The current campaign borders dangerously upon Thoughtcrime.

Yes, but parental/media hysteria never has taken much account of such inconvenient things as 'facts'.
Or the difference between 'paedophilia' and 'paediatrics'.
