Who Congrat ... THREAD CLOSED

Post by lordjohn »

Nice to see someone like Pete Townshend admitting that adult porn has been part of his life.....virtually all the guys I have come across in my varied life are of the "Wait until the wife goes shopping and get the vids out of the boot" variety.

Also how many internet surfers are there who haven't got something that might be construed as illegal on their machines. All the spam sites that come in on email with bestiality and god knows what for a start......

Frightening really.....

Exactly....most blokes marry the first thing that doesn't throw up when they stick their hand up their kilt!

If you are in the business and casting etc you can fall in love every other day...you just learn to control it.

It is god's way of keeping us procreating. My own basic rules are : Be totally honest and make sure she does everything or is prepared to learn everything (good move if they are fresh and young) and most important she must like tipping the velvet!!!

Then you have inherited the earth. Honesty is the key, why be worried about answering your phone when the option is to not have anything to hide....or use the panic button so much that your finger gets a blister.

It does seem an eccentric way to go about 'research': why didn't he contact one of the numerous organisations concerned with this?
On the other hand, human nature and male sexuality being what they are, perhaps a defence of 'just visited the once' might be justifiable. Unless one firmly believes that curiosity ought to result in death-sentences for cats.

Where c/p is concerned, yes it should.

People try to put him down. Talkin' bout his generation.

When I was A young man I experimented with armed robbery. I told the police that it was just an experiment and that I would give the money back. Alas they did not believe me. Hope Pete has more luck. Personally I doubt his story.

WHO HYSTERIA

Post by The Fonz »

I personally don't doubt his story, given his very well documented past etc., but it does throw up a few interesting points:
1) Absolute public hysteria surrounding this subject, this topic has been discused on here before so no need to start it up again.
2) That no-one else can look at any evidence (for whatever reason) of internet-distributed Child Abuse (it is NOT pornography) without being a perverted criminal. Apart from the "powers that be" of course, who know exactly what is good for us and what we can and cannot look at. Which kind of makes the whole subject "unreproachable", hence more or less undisscussable in an enlightened, educated way. Hence yet more hysteria whipped up by the media. (In my humble opinion, to have a true view on something, you must know WHAT IT IS you are dealing with, and not what you imagine via sensationised press reports and hearsay)
3) Townshend's worst mistake here, as far as I can see, is defending his use of Adult Porn in the same statement, once again using the media's trick of calling this stuff "child porn", when he and we would be wiser to start making the following point (often and until people understand): "Kiddie porn" is NOT PORN it is recorded CHILD ABUSE; and the continual casual use of the phrase "child porn" and hence connecting Adult porn to paedophilia is doing the "adult entertainment" industry no good whatsoever, and even in these "enlightened" times giving the general public the continual impression that porn on the whole is a "bad thing".

The use of the phrase "child porn" when whipping up hysteria will do this industry no favours whatsoever, especially considering the gradual phasing out of privacy, liberty and the ability to choose in our wonderful CCTV/SATNAV world.
