Cancellation fees - what do you think?

Hi Monica - Sorry to hear about your recent let downs,as a Producer myself and also have a model who works from my house i have seen both sides of the coin.Unfortunately there has been a marked increase in "no shows",cancellations etc from my perspective I only mainly deal with Amateur models so when they cancel,pull out for whatever reason very annonying buut thats why they are Amateurs people will say.Most of Rachels no shows,the model who stays with me,have been Amateurs but also a sprinkling of Pro^s in there but not many.Avery good point you made Monica was that when someone cancels on you,THIS IS YOUR LIVING,no shoot no pay which is what alot of the guys never understand.We keep a folder on no shows,so if they get in touch again down the line,which alot have,we try and put in some extra safeguards and Eachel has asked for a small deposit and some have done this without bother.This like everything else will not be a guarantee but maybe something worth considering on your part,a small deposit is not alot to ask and would certainly show they are serious,but Im sure alot will not be prepared to do this even.

I would not object to paying a none returnable deposit when booking a shoot ,as booking is usually done by phone or email this could be paid by credit/debit card any tog unwilling to do this is probably going to let you down

I think this is as with most porn forum ideas, a very good idea that will never come in to existance. Back in the day when there were only a few girls this could have worked but it will be to much hassel. If your a tog and put a post up advertising a shoot and lots of girls apply who are you going to use? A model that wants you to fiddle about sending deposite money over or one who you can just call and she will come.

You should always get shoot confirmation sent to you by e-mail with times, dates levels and pay clearly down in black and white. Bring this along to the shoot. If they have probelm on the day as in the previous example like double booking ro they try and push higher levels you can refer them to their own details and they should pay. But I cant see anyone sending on money once they have canceled a shoot, a re booking is the best we models can ever hope for and they ususaly do.

Still these things dont happen to often and if the lows weren't so bad the highs couldnt be so high. - good luck this week chicken, now you've had a bad run of cancelations you've got them all out the way and all your shoots will be excitedly waiting for you to turn up x
