not to give too many trade secrets away nosey, but this is a guess, steve can correct me if I am wrong, just got a hunch:
steve = steven (his name)
56 = 1956 (the year he was born)
hence the moniker steve56.

PASS ... yes that was a thread so long that the left hand black border runs out 3/4 of the way down, and steve has a stunning 89 post salvo, well done steve, closely followed by Elton Dong with 53, you guys certainly made your point on this subject.
