I very much doubt Wenger would want to buy Beckham, just as I very much doubt Beckham would take a pay cut to leave Real Madrid.
Would you really want Beckham and his media circus at your club?

It's well documented that Beckham supported Man Utd, nor does he come from North London. How does this add up to Arsenal being his 'spiritual home' ?

Okay, Man Utd underachieved but what was supposed to be an easy group provided quarter and semi finalists in Benfica and Villareal. The result aside Villareal were the better side against Arsenal, and Benfica beat Liverpool home and away. In the FA Cup Man Utd were beaten by the eventual winners.
Apart from a freakish appearance in the Champions League final Arsenal have regressed this season. The media like to measure the success or failure of Man Utd's season in terms of silverware; admittedly the League Cup is no great consolation, but Arsenal are empty handed - the women won more than the men!
It's underachievement for both clubs .. just as Arsenal's season was being seen in terms of 'transition' (ie they were losing Premiership games), they started to do well in Europe and were suddenly recast as one of the great club sides, a strategy which was also intended to flatter Henry so he would stay at Arsenal. They're not a great side at present and it's foolish to think that they are on the strength of the Champions League final appearance. No-one remembers beaten finalists ... ask Monaco and Bayer Leverkeusen.

Maybe Arsenal should ask for a replay due to choking?
Daniel Levy has written a letter to the National Lottery tonight, demanding a redraw of the numbers following the Father For Justice protest disrupting the draw.
"I feel a sense of anti-climax and injustice", said Levy. "It's obvious that without this outside influence, my numbers would have come up and I could have used the money to snatch Alex Song from Arsenal".
Several hundred thousand Arsenal fans are believed to be in support of the redraw.
And now some honesty from an Arsenal fan....
The referee was appalling for both sides and I, and all the fans I know, was embarrassed by Eboue's dive. I would say that the ref was equally bad for both teams, but the only thing he did seem heavily biased with was giving cards. Marquez took Henry from behind at least three times without punishment and Oleguer pulled Ljungberg back from behind twice, both of which should have yellows.
He got the decision on the "goal" wrong. He couldn't give a red card AND the goal, by the way... but if he had let Lehmann stay on and given the goal, there's no telling which way the game would have gone. Arsenal might have got a stuffing....
I'm disappointed to have lost, obviously, but there's plenty of blame to go around on the playing side, without cunting the referee as the sole reason. He was poor, but so was Henry's finishing on the night.
Anyway, Barcelona might have the trophy but we have the prize. A four year contract for the best striker around, all nicely signed and sealed.
