I don't know where our opinions differ???
I don't dispute anything you have said... I agree with it... I said that a cert is only good until it is compromised - it only gives you a snapshot of that very moment the test was conducted... but it is better than nothing and at the end of the day - you take whatever level of risk you are comfortable with - the important point being you have the knowledge and information to make a calculated, justified decision...
And it is FACT that oral sex is a lower risk activity than penetrative sex, particularly anal sex...
So please do not twist what I have written.

I think that things are getting blown out of all proportions.
99.9% of all AIDS related deaths within the industry in the US were connected to the gay scene.
I suspect the major threat health wise in the UK industry would be via something that you have all failed to mention "Herpes".
Lets just be sensible out there.
Cheers Cornish Chris.

Considerably high? Considerably less so than unprotected anal sex, but there is a risk - the magnitude is sunjective and depends on what you compare it to. As for oral sex being the point of Bukkake - no... I understood it to be the girl receiving load upon load of cum. Over in Japan, I believe there is often little or no contact between parties and the guys simply whack off in front of the girl...

And your point differs from mine in what way? The unfortunate thing is this girl didnt have the information beforehand to make an educated decision... Once she's learned the hard way - she made a decision related to the risk she was willing to take - as we all do at all times in our lives in all situations...

Covered this point - but I suggested that ALL participants should be tested if they so felt at risk and it is down to the fellas to respect a girls wishes to only participate with tested guys... but again - how safe is tested from one day to the next AFTER the test was taken? Every performer perhaps owes it to themselves to protect the integrity of their cert?
It is all very subjective and we all take risks - its a matter of making your own mind up once armed with all the facts.

Surely this entire thread has not yet considered the scariest thing about this whole thing, i.e. the name of this thread containing 2 apostrophes on plurals when they should only be used to denote ownership.
No amount of STD testing can counter such ignorance.
Gyles.

Oh Giles, Giles, Giles,
Please, is that the best you can say?. I didn't go to school which would explain the 2 apostrophes on the plurals, heaven forbid, take me outside and shoot me.
Thankyou so much for you valuble contribution on this important subject.

Ian,
Looking at the big picture, the death of the English language is a greater worry than the possible death of a few pornstars - although that would be terrible and I would not for one moment like to see that.
As for your schooling, all schools teach such fundamentals. Perhaps you were off that day?
Gyles.

Actually for quite some time it was thought by trendy educationists that grammar, spelling and punctuation got in the way of creativity. However, all schools are supposed to teach manners. Maybe YOU were off that day.

I'd like to thank Ian for raising this thread - very sombre topic but definitely worthy of discussion and some excellent informed contributions. I am finally outted as a chain-smoking fatalist and I think we are all actually deep down in agreement its just that we are very split over the magnitude of risks. For the male participants I frankly think it is minimal. For the female participants it is patently larger but how much larger is a moot point.
The end line is - get the info, make an informed decision, make up your own minds. And that goes for everyone involved...fair enough.
Now I'm off to tank up on prodigious amounts of poison (i.e. alcohol) while wreathed in carcenogenic smoke - hope you all had a good 'un boys and girls.
Happy and healthy 2003 to all involved in BGAFD
