Re: OT: You're being watched etc.

Re: OT: You're being watched etc.
By all means give your views of EE Pete
and leave it at that. You make a valid point about the family and employer side but that wasn't what the original post was asking
Which is all us NO BRAINERS didn't mention it
As for the abuse...grow up
Generalised comments like
"Know all no brainer posts" &
"As you chaps hardly ever pay for internet porn"
Are at best pure drivel based on a very lopsided subjective view
cheers

Re: OT: You're being watched etc.
if you download it at work and work has a policy against this are you saying you should be able to download porn at work?
Re: OT: You're being watched etc.
You shouldn't be able to download porn at work because you should be, er, well, working. That is the only reason. However, in our naff society newspapers, magazines and TV programs can put the kind of spin on this activity that reflects their social, cultural and political bias that is always typified as being middleclass and either far left or far right. So downloading porn becomes a REALLY BIG DEAL simply because it is porn, not because you are pissing your employers time and money away, which in a rational objective world would be the real issue.
The best way to deal with this problem is for everyone when confronted with a "Shock-Horror!" porn downloading story or corporate attitude is to say, "Hey man, I don't give the slightest fuck. What's your problem? Why can't you chill out"?
Some of the posts in this thread suggest that the posters believe that they are GUILTY of downloading porn and thus need to cover their tracks. This is because they have been brainwashed by this society into (quite often unconsciously) believing that there is something wrong with porno. This is the problem that porno has faced since Victorian times and can only be addressed by everyone having the balls to proclaim, "Hey, fuck you! I really dig porn; there ain't nothing wrong with it. So fuck off and get a life"!

Re: OT: You're being watched etc.
Maybe people like Glitter do need finding, just to keep an eye on them, just in case. But let's not forget that Glitter, as I understand it, didn?t actually do anything, he just looked.
This is getting dangerously close to the world of 'Minority Report' and Orwell's '1984' where you can be cast into jail for just thinking the wrong thoughts as proscribed by the State. This is why we must not be complacent and take this issue very seriously. Because what is an innocent acceptable activity today may become a federal offence in future - witness how the middleclass media and public sector are now turning on smokers using their newspapers and TV programs to slowly create a general feeling that ciggis are unacceptable, that smokers are unacceptable. They already have to stand out in the rain to smoke at work. What next, will each smoker be forced to wear the shameful badge of 'Benson & Hedges' so the rest of the populace will know who they are? Will a socialist government introduce a 'Three Snouts And You're Out' policy? Will smoker?s families be deported to 'Tobacco Victims Refuges' where they can be forcibly counselled by Guardian reading social workers? Makes you think doesn?t it?

Erm ... Mr Gadd has just been deported from Cambodia (having already been chased from Vietnam I understand). A country not exactly famous for it child protection laws!
Looking promotes the publication of this material, after all if noone looked then there would be no income for the those who produce such material (unless I'm wrong, and child abusers are an extremely charitable bunch who are happy to give away their wares to all and sundry)

Speaking as a fully fledged card carrying Guardian reader I wouldn't bother counselling recalcitrant smokers, I'd just shoot the bastards and be done with it

Gary Glitter
If a programme televised on Channel 4 was correct, Gary Glitter did far more than look, an in fact it was "alledged" the sad man perfomed illegal sexual acts on his daughters friends....
Re: Gary Glitter
hes just been thrown out of cambodia it was revealed yesterday if you ask me he got off lightly.
