Thanks for the reply. I take it you are aware that it was me who was asking for the MySpace addresses of some stars on another post.

Angel Long even replied and said she hopes I put her down as a 'friend' on my MySpace page. The reason I was asking on that other post about the personal MySpace details of people is because I didn't see any differnce between the personal and public ones. My view was to claim that there are two kinds of MySpace pages was like claiming there are personal and private websites. Stuff on the Net is stuff on the Net and it is for all to see - at least that was how I saw it.

I've never been 'obsessive' about anything, was just trying to find those things to access on the Net that could provide up to date content in terms of pictures and info. Otherwise we have to often rely on out of date sites, which have had no new pics or info put on them for 2 or 3 years.

Thanks for your reply. You are entitled to your viewpoint, but I don't agree that things I have written are all 'incredibly obsessive' concerning Laura Hermansen. I was/am just a fan of her movies. All I was after was any means of getting fresh content. It was someone else who started that post about 'pornstars after they were famous' anyway, if you look. The reason I joined in with it and commented is becasue I had watched that particular film of hers again earlier this week and watched the accompanying interview too. Noticing something that she says/does in the interview I don't think makes me obsessive, I'm just a fan of hers aswell as being a fan or Michelle Thorne's and Angel Long's. However, like I said, you are entitled to your view.

Over the last 30 years,I have known many female pornstars.I am still in touch with some.Many made reasonable marriages,had children,and got on with life.In three cases,their husbands knew that they were 'acting' but may not be aware exactly what kind of 'acting 'was involved.However time tends to allow such memories to fade.One very famous female pornstar now drives a bus,and is happy.Another lives in Malta,has remarried,and is settled with her brood.Yet another is a PR lady for a major UK bank.Another works in ITV.

Some ladies have gone of the rails a bit,through substance abuse,which they put down to their porn career.However,no one is forced to take excessive ammounts of these things.It seems more likely that those girls have other-more serious-personal problems.Some of these are escorting,but that's a hard way to earn a living,nowadays,with younger competition,East European ladies etc.

Few of those whom I still know,view their period as pornstars,as any kind of high point in their lives.It represented a time to earn 'easy' money.

A few have stuck it out over the years,and are still well known.Good for them!

That's interesting Birty. It's good that know many people have turned their lives around, and many would do porn only for the 'easy money' like you say. I don't know exactly how much shag scenes pay, but it is likely that someone could earn more in a couple of hours doing porn than they may earn in a week or two doing a regular job.

Not unless they were working minimum wage. The money is not that good - I remember one model telling me in 1989 that she got ?150 a day.
"That's great," I said.
"Not really," she said. "I may only work once a fortnight."

The rates have not gone up that much since then...

-When I make porn, I'm in a comfortable position to do all kinds of crazy sex acts. I can choose what/who/when I do them. I wouldn't do the same things in real life (unless of course I felt like it) because I'm out of my comfort zone. Radom individuals all gagging for a grope is not really my cup of tea... however, if I feel I want to be an exhibitionist, then I will... So porn is not always fake at the time, the set-up is fake... when would you be that safe to do those things in reality? It doesn't make the moment fake...

-When I dissapear from porn, I would like to be able to blend into the background of society, and I would not expect indepth details of what I do to be made public... however, I don't think I'd mind if someone mentioned that I was still in good health and working in media, for eg. I had the unfortunate experience of having to quit my nursing ambitions due to a slimy snake that tried to sell me out to the papers, so it is true, you do limit your options for after retirement, but I wouldn't change anything. I'll be taking my second degree in September, and this time, I won't be so public about my choice, for fear of the same thing happening again...
