I wasn't asking for a friggin' phone number or address, just has anyone heard what they are doing now. Is that really something to be that upset about? it's hardly going to affect them is it?

Pornstars seem to want to be famous but only up to a point. No one would have any problem with enquiries about what some ex-pop stars or film actors are doing now: you often get these 'where are they now' articles in music magazines and you discover that some famous 90's singer now works in a hair salon, or how the drummer in a famous 80' rock band now drives a van for Parcelforce and so on. Some of these people are even happy to be interviewed for the feature, but for some reason it's differnt with a lot fof ex-pornstars. People are often critisied for even wanting to know what they're up to - as you have discovered.

Because a lot of these girls hide it for friends and family, then if you met the 'real them' in the street, rather than the 'pornstar' some may be freaked out that they were even recognised (I only speculate, I've never met a pornstar - either current or past). Michelle Thorne though has mentioned that she is flattered when she is recognised.

It's a funny thing, porn fame, compared to other kinds of fame.

Well, I'd debate whether any of the girls who are talked about on here are actually 'famous' but anyway.....

Basically it comes down to a part of their life being over and not wanting people to know they sucked cock for a living.
