Dylan? Floyd? Zep? Stones?

Not being part of the bathchair/eartrumpet contingent I would like to nominate Manic Street Preachers as the best live act I've ever seen. A fine young band whose extraordinary recordings are available from all good gramophone shops everywhere.

I have seen many of the major rock acts over the past 15-20 years.

Best singers, Freddie Mercury, Bob Catley, Ian Gillan, Sam Brown.

Best guitarist, Blackmore, Vai, May, BB King, Dave Gilmour.

Best stage show Pink Floyd, there endeth the argument, no-one else close.

Most stage presence, Ozzy, Freddie, Angus Young.

Best sound quality Iron Maiden.

Biggest letdown, Whitesnake pt 2, the Americanised stuff.

Biggest surprise, Tesla who supported Def Leppard.

Still to see Rush, ZZ Top, Jools Holland.

Er...I was there, actually. Hower, being a mere two years old meant attending (insert 'legendary' 60's gig of your choice) was slightly out of the question. I was, I think, more interested in potty-training at the time...

The punchline is all yours.

Rock-on, Daddio
