If you want short concise bios(2 pages or less) try
Masters of Metal by Lee Martyn 1984 Zomba Books
48 bands/solo artists over 128 pages with short bios and discography
It covers the whos who of heavy rock/metal to the obscure unknowns
Unknowns to me anyway...Pat Travers...Dokken

pat travers was circa 1977/78?he made a album called putting it straight.

i recall dj alan freeman playing tracks from the 77 1 thats about all cant put a name to them

The Rock Says.... Is good but not as good as the two Mick Foley books, Mankind and Foley Is Good.
