Rock biographies

Post by Arnold Layne »

Just finished reading the awesome "Hammer of the gods" (Led Zeppelin) by Stephen Davis, for the third time, the new live dvd, and triple live CD puttting Led Zep on top of my playlist again, anyone recommend any other good rock biographies? I've read a few Floyd & Syd Barrett one's, oh and a Jim Morrison one, find them fascinating

Try 'The Return of the Last Gang in Town' by Marcus Gray. It is a fascinating read about how prog rock was looking like it was here to stay until Punk Rock exploded onto the scene. It is about The Clash, and I defy anybody to read it and not come away unimpressed
