I disagree, queen were a great band.
However, on the subject of overrated bands, I'd have to say every band for the last 10 years.

The Killers' album loses steam at the 3/4 mark, but it's a fairly thrilling ride up till then. Franz Ferdinand only have one song (Take Me Out) a dressed-up clone of 'Eye of The Tiger' by way of Gang of Four. The news that bandleader Alex Krapanos is actually older than me (he's 34) amuses me greatly.

Kings Of Leon are NOT over-rated!
They play some of the best rock music I've heard in years.

NB. The Beatles are not a boyband- even 1963-1965 - for the purposes of this post.
