In this PC world we live in (shudders),i wonder if Paul Raymond would of been forced to finance Bollywood porn?

The reference might be to the 1977 film...Emmanuelle. Rank had already decided to walk away as distributors after making an horrendous loss on the 1976...England film; and a new company called Cleeves Investments put in ?300k in return for the rights. Raymond may have owned or part-owned Cleeves.
The same scenario happened with the Pythons. Playboy paid for their first movie, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd for their second; George Harrison for their third and Universal Pictures for their last. Universal had to spend 20 years dealing with legalese before they could finally licence the first three movies to put together the DVD release and the box set.

Indeed. And rarely shown.
The one good thing about it was that Jack Douglas got a virtual starring role.
