Informed decisions... The risk is RELATIVELY low when compared to many other things but at the same time considerably higher than many things also...

It's very subjective and depends very much on individual opinion.

Ian is to be commended for raising the topic, his concern is valid and hopefully it has raised awareness and will a) make a few people think and b) hopefully lead to greater respect for the girls who indulge in such activities. i.e. you guys will be careful with your aim!

One thing that has always puzzled me in some porn films is the practice of the girl giving an unprotected blow job, then having protected sex, followed by the guy removing the condom to cum in her face/mouth... just what is the point of wearing the condom for only some activities?

Good question Bob... Obviously a misplaced confidence that only penetration is considered "risky"... Correct, it is more "risky" than oral, but it still carries risk.

Maybe there has genuinely been a lack of awareness to the risk?
