I am always fascinated by the people who are generally skeptical of global warming, and infact take great pride in having that opinion.

"There is no global warming! Electric cars are funny! Please continue to fill my city with smog!"

I think I'd say I was a genuine skeptic - which is because I am not 100% convinced it's true but nor would I dismiss it entirely. The problem is that many people can see it has become another money making/tax taking opportunity.

I was amused to hear at the Copenhagen Conference the small island nations were happy for the high carbon emitting nations to produce all the carbon they wanted so long as they paid them compensation. This tells me they don't really believe in it either. Would you accept a 100 million dollars to kill yourself?

Ogre,
I have said that cleaning up pollution and reforestation is a good idea I hate pollution!
Electric cars would be a step towards non polluting cars if they could produce electricity without pollution.I would welcome information if anyone knows if they can?

Mancinirule,
Weather records began a short time ago less than two hundred years which makes reports concerning the last hundred years or so absolutely irrelevant in the billion year history of the Earth.

Good comeback, Mike. So the government is behind the words 'climate' and 'weather' having different meanings?

Why do you think you know that cars and power stations cause pollution?

Sam Slater,
You said:"What you're suggesting is a hypothesis and I think global warming is past that stage."
Why do you think believe that global warming is happening when its colder han it has been for decades?
Mike Freeman.

I asked you a question. Why do you think you know that cars and power stations cause pollution?
