Now that half the world is covered in ice and snow and that you are all freezing to death it is appropriate to think of why it is so very cold. The answer: Global Warming?
Green house gas is carbon dioxide and every mammal on the planet exhales it. I think one might look at other theories such as deforestation because trees and plant life breathe in carbon dioxide and makes them grow.
The UK, for example used to be ninety nine percent forests and now it is less than two per cent. I think that we need the Greening of our globe and this will answer a lot of our problems, notwithstanding the fluctuations in temperatures caused by sunspots
Conversely cutting pollution is a good idea.
When we look as to the reason why everyone in power is crying ?Global Warming? and can?t understand why, there might be a simple answer if we analyse who will make billions out of the new industry of cutting carbon emissions.
Don?t forget that Global Warming is just a theory.
Mike Freeman.

As is the earth goes around the sun. A 'theory' in scientific terms is used to please philosophers who question the reality of anything outside our own consciousness. Quantum mechanics proves that we can't strictly talk in terms of truth and facts. A scientific theory, in practical layman's terms really just means 'fact'. What you're suggesting is a hypothesis and I think global warming is past that stage.

Correction: capitalism makes rules for this country. Some of it is good, some bad.

The most respected scientists from New Zealand to Japan, India to Brazil, South Africa to Canada and the US to Denmark all unanimously conclude that it is so.
What's the worst that can happen if they're all wrong and Jeremy Clarkson is right? That we've inconvenienced ourselves and look a bit daft? I'll take that over following what Top Gear says and watching land disappear under the sea, forests burn to ash and most life become extinct.
It shouldn't even have to be pointed out which is the more sensible option, even if you're a denier.

Jeremy Clarkson talks lot of common sense..unlike some of the hot air coming out of the mouths of the tree huggers. They oppose GM food too but of course you can't argue with a tree hugger. They see things only their way...bit like religeous zealots really. If I ignore them I hope they will go away.I was delighted to see the bust ups in Copenhagen.Common sense wins .

In your opinion. I think he talks bollocks and is a second-rate (first-rate would be unfair and exaggerating) twat.

What's a 'tree hugger'? Anyone who's concerned for our future?
They oppose GM food too but of course you can't argue with a tree hugger.
A bit sweeping. I know plenty of, what you'd call, 'tree huggers' that think GM crops are the best way of feeding the world. People are scared of GM because not enough research has been done and it's a little unknown what long-term affects they'll cause. Unlike global warming, which is a totally different issue and more is known.

In fact quite the opposite. A religious zealot believes regardless of evidence. A 'tree hugger' believes because of evidence. It's a GW denier who's more like a religious zealot because they deny the evidence. I think you have to have more 'faith' that everything's going to turn out hunky-dory than co2 emissions are warming the atmosphere.

So it seems. That's tragic, mm.

Jeremy Clarkson style common sense, yes. Trouble is, there's more 'common' than actual 'sense' in the mixture, sadly.
