Are these softcore? I know Erotica has a sex licence to be able to sell hardcore tapes but it is illegal to send them through the post in the UK.

Actually, I am not sure it is legal to receive hardcore irrespective of its country of origin. If it was then no one would have their purchases confiscated by Customs, would they? All overseas packages are sorted via Mount Pleasant before being sent on their way. Therefore, they are all carried by the Royal Mail and are subject to their rules. I am sure those with a Scandinavian or Dutch postmark get special attention. If Customs turn a blind eye to most hardcore except the most extreme stuff, that doesn't make it legal.

Isn't hardcore porn illegal in the Republic of Ireland anyway? You couldn't even buy Penthouse there a few years ago...

as ww states, it is entirely legal to post h/c material into this country, as long as it is compliant with current bbfc delineated r18 guidelines. do a forums search for previous discussions/explanations, of which there have been many.
