studio & model down south

Anybody know of any studios i can use around the southampton/Portsmouth area as i am interested in starting amateur photography? I have a decent camera but where can I get the films developed and put on disc? I do have a digital camera but should I invest in a decent one?
Also i need a girl to photograph who will show me the ropes and how much is the going rate for a models time and studio hire?
Remember, we all have to start somewhere!
