Why are people in power in the UK so opposed to porn on TV(with a password)but still allow it to enter the country via the mail

I've been a punter on this most excellent forum for nigh on 3/4 years and cannot yet figure out what the authorities are about...apart from being santimonious bastards

My personal theory is that most have their heads up their religious arses ignoring Europe as usual and trying to control Satellite TV to try and stop the spread of porn

Maybe if satellite TV falls(ofcom)....the mail will follow

I think just as the Americans used terrorism to become big brother
our UK authorites might try and do the same

I think you're right that Labour are trying to use fear as a way to control us. Sadly, the alternative are the Conservatives!
I'm not sure what the government can do though as they will be able to see just how dumb the laws are, just like we can. Unless they make huge changes for the worst, it can only get better for porn and the way Labour are under attack, they wont bother upsetting people when they have far bigger problems right now.

I disagree, Politicians couldn't give a f**k who they upset. Just like GWB' anti porn crusade in the states, it will soon be election time here.......they'll need the votes, so a self righteous public crusade against the "evils of porn" will be just the thing to try & buy a few votes. And a good way of diverting public attention from the f**k ups currently coming home to roost.
