documentry

Post by DVision »

Hi,
I am in a team of final year Students studying Media Technology BSc at De Montfort university, Leicester, United Kingdom (course leader Rob Watson rwatson@dmu.ac.uk)

Our goal is to produce a documentary on "the use of technology in the sex industry" focusing specifically on pornography and its wider consumption over the internet.

We have been intrigued about the apparent changes in social opinion about the mass consumption of porn, and the private and domesticated sphere in which it is consumed and produced.

We are looking to find contributors who are willing to participate and be quoted within the fabric of the documentary about the positive and negative aspects of pornography on the Internet, with a technological focus. This could be in person or over email, discussion groups, or web cam.

Any efforts on your part would be most appreciated given the academic stance of this project.

Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from you shortly.

DVision,

Your third para seems to be irrevevent to your stated intention.

"Technolody in the sex industry* simply means that now; cameramen use digital and editors use computers(equally digital )- if I may such an obvious statement. ( previously we used analogue)

The internet is based on digital and binary combinations.

End of story, you have your thesis.

Your stated intention was both misguided and un-thoughtout.
Try again pal.

This is NOT sarcastic, but simply facts of life.

Not sure what specificly technological focus there is with porn, but I would be willing to make some form of contribution if you wish.

NOte THat this GUy hasn't risponded to HIs own MIspelt POst in the last 10 daze.

Personally I feel that all the on screen special effects in some porn films annoy the tits off me. E.g ...fading between scenes, overlapping images, black and white footage STOP IT. It's not big and it's not clever.
