BGAFD Best Film ???

Hi Everybody.
I saw the Poll and I will skip it.
Why?
All the movies are a TURN-OFF for my taste.
I'm male but I DON'T like Hetero Stuff at all.
So as I can see, there's something strange here, because the Poll forces me to vote for an Hetero one.
The results will show an Hetero movie, so someone will say "The Best Movie is an Hetero one".
I have a lot of Lesbian DVDs and I made my vote already saying this.
I think that VivThomas has the BEST Girl/Girl videos.

Anna's Mates and UKSH6 include lesbian scenes, as I'm sure do some of the other shortlisted titles. Thing is it's a hardcore poll and girl only films would not be described as hardcore by the majority of the population.

I didn't vote simply because I don't like being told I can only vote for a,b or c.

Usually films are picked on sales so its a farce to the British industry to pick a few & say they are it, the ones chosen are all worthy candidates but there's lots more films out there that are also just as worthy.
Over the next few years things should improve for everyone if we can stick together & not put barriers between ourselves, Terry is right in his comments above on how you decide which films are the best etc. & the public looking on this site won't take it as a serious poll because of the few picked.
Check with distributors,web-sites,mags which films sold best & include them also as this wouldn't be unfair to those listed on the poll if their films are indeed 'best film' of the year would it. I know your all old friends that have done all sorts in life but to represent the British industry you'll need to break the inner circle you seem to have & accept that the industry is now a lot bigger than it was 20 years ago with lots new exciting stars (some not even mentioned on this site)

To my CERTAIN knowledge, Jim has absolutely no bias whatsoever as to who/what/category etc wins each stage.
The whole point of the poll is so that EVERYONE can take part.

Personally I feel that to split it into too many categoties would present quite some difficulties. How many can you have?

KIM: It is impossible to determine sales volume -for obvious reasons, and I do not understand your remark about "putting barriers between ourselves" What barriers?
Every producer/distributer does the best he can to promote his product and at the end of the day, the public decide by either buying or not.

What is this "inner circle"?

In the days I was actively knocking out videos, I never ever gave a single thought to any other producer/distributor - I either sold or I didn't and. I firmly believe that all current producers have the same philosophical attitude and your implication of some kind of "closed shop" is so far off the mark as to be off the planet.

Whilst it may not be your intention, your post above smacks of embitterness.

Hi Terry "Brother 69" I don't know how they choose them for BGAFD, They go by who nominated them I presume, some seem stange to me as well but I guess some people like alsorts. The awards from this forum have nothing to do with sales just the punters favorite backed up by the forum elite posters voting.
I have never asked Woodgnome if fact when I offered the awards categories to the forum I made it plain I did not want to know how just who to give the awards to, its trully up to the guys from here.
You other title has been nominated in another category soon as Steve lets me know I will advise you. The final list will not be made up till days befor the show to make it fairer on everyone.
I am sorry Kim I cannot accept half what you say, If I was to go purely on sales it would only effect one title so let hear how many copies of a title you have sold and I will check with your distributer, It worth remmebering My titles which are exempt are in every HMV/Virgin/sex shop in the UK they are also in every Goldstar publication and The Sport daily.
Its also worth looking at how many movies I have made before I started giving advise on the industry. I always feel you think there is a conspiracy on the go but surely there can be otherwise how would you sell your stuff so well.
I can only tell you truthfully no one has nominated your movie so get on to your fans and your distributer and have it out with them. I would if I was selling 70,000 DVD's of a title and no one thought that was worthy of a mention. I would also say the Industry is the same size if anything a bit smaller with a few different faces. Some of new guys a real nice people, spent the day with Relish, they are as happy as sandboys in what they do, they treated me with respect as they do everyone who works with them. Jasper has been proposed and seconded and will later this month be shaved oiled then set on fire before Marcus and Ben piss on him to put him out and he will then become "brother 311". Maybe you are Right, but I'm NOT going to buy an Hetero video because of a single Lesbian scene (or two).
I spend my money on what I want as I will NOT vote for an Hetero movie.
A boy on a movie is a Turn-Off for me.
