Maybe this current scare is a good thing.

Why?

Just perhaps we may eventually get back to the very simple equation of sex being between two - or maybe three! - consenting adults.

Whilst I accept that nowadays one HAS to see the sex act, surely those scenes should be within the boundaries of what one would expect from "normal" sexual activities.

Surely this is just a form of cencorship? Why should you tell me what I can watch and what is 'normal'. You either have cencorship or u don't - that's the whole point of it. Once someone says a video should or shouldn't have something within it involving consenting adults, you will find it difficult to argue when the Conservative nuts start protesting about R18.

And did I say I am in favour of censorship? - did Marcus? - I think not. The point is if we accept that we are adults who can take responsibility for ourselves - instead of animals who have no self control (as both the moralists and the abusers see it) - then we also have the right, indeed duty, to speak up when we disagree with something.

I do not understand these threads at all. Everything that happens is consensual: they are just acting. Lay contributed to a thread about this last year. If even the mildest slapping and spanking is out of bounds then are you trying to get some campaign going against the bdsm scene?

I just saw that as a censorship issue. In that sentence you are saying you have to see the act itself. That is your opinion. 'you have to' is what you personally believe. 'surely they should be' and 'normal' also ring bells of people thinking they know what everyone wants.
Maybe i've read it wrong but all i'm trying to say is as soon as you try to sort out what people want and need and what they don't need you have problems.
