Yahoo Groups

I have been scanning through Yahoo groups and about 50% of them seem to be inactive , and have been for some time, would it not be a good idea to bring the list up to date and weadle out all those that have no new content.
Also quite a few of those that have some activity,are just spam.

What would be the criteria for being dead, no messages for a couple of months say?

The fact that there a Group has no recent content is irrelevant. It will ALL be new to a new member. Just because you've seen it doesn't mean everyone else has.

our criteria for 'dead' is no longer in existence - i.e deleted by yahoo!

as vila points out, even the most inert and spam-ridden of sites may still contain images/information that will be of interest to someone.
