from now on new members will only be able to add a single link to their signature.

on the plus side you will find there is now room for several additional links on your profile page (exactly how many is dependent on the total number of characters in the website addresses being added. a reasonable guesstimate would be around 4-6 links).

you can also use tags to format your profile links. previously, only the signature section permitted this (by 'format' we mean make a link look like words rather than a website address. check out the faq for more details).

this new arrangement doesn't affect those of you already registered but we are asking everyone who currently has several addresses in their signature to reduce it to just one. anyone who doesn't will at some point find that a moderator has made the decision for them as to which link remains in their signature.

as ever, your co-operation is appreciated - it would be difficult to manage this site without it.
