R18 DVD/Video Goes to High Court

Post by Leaky »

So it appears that the battle is not yet lost for us to recieve Dvd or videos through mail order in the Uk. Now the saga moves on to the High Court, im not sure when that date is, but it will be a bitter blow for the Porn Industry in the uk if goes against them.

Both Pabo and Interfact appealed the decision of Liverpool Magistartes Court in the High Court on Feb 23rd &Feb 24th of this year.

No decision has been made or released by the High Court and both sides are awaiting the outcome of this.

Whatever way it goes then it won't be the end of the matter. Whichever side loses has made it clear that they will appeal again in either House of Lords or European Court.

So the saga is likely to run on for a while yet.

PS. I got this info from the trade mag.

How come Fiona Cooper can get away with it? They have been supplying films for years and they don't have a certificate of any sort.

Well, I'd like to know, even if no-one else would.

My mate who has his own online Dvd shop tells me that he has heard on the grapevine that both Interfact and Pabo lost their appeals against the original decision by Liverpool Magistrates Court.

He says that he has also heard that they are both going to take the matter to the House of Lords.

Good to know that with the planet being destroyed by big business and vote-sucking bitch-governments, religious hatred and intolerance bubbling over, and a facistic new decrepid Pope about to get medieval on our collective ass, that some blokes selling films of people having sex to adults merit the full weight of the law falling on them. Of ocurse, judges are known to be a sober bunch who never utilise the more specialist services of the escorting world.
