I'd obviously provoked quite a bit of intelligent debate and comments and for that I'm pleased. As you would expect though there were a minority who spoilt things. For intance, Rimbaud went on about him and his university degree being 'respectable' and implied that being in porn wasn't respectable. What about watching it then Rimbaud!?
Clearly there is an undercurrent of misogynism creeping in too. You know, girls only do porn because they're desperate and would only be checkout girls if they weren't getting shagged on camera. Huh, bloody cheek! I choose to be in porn because I want to. I don't need to explain myself to anyone and for those who hint that I or other girls might regret it later..don't you think we've thought of that...we do have brains too you know.
I think the main people making money out of porn are the shops and distributors. This I suppose is no different to farmers being paid 5p a pint for milk and then Sainsburys selling it for 30p. I would of course say that models should be paid more but then I am one ain't I? I am though genuinely happy with my lot and so far have absolutely no regrets whatsoever.
Now for producers. I've worked with some who are a delight and are very professional. I've worked with others who have the organisation and management skills of a dead slug. One or two are crooks and I, others and they know who they are.
I think I said all I (or you?) want for the time being. As a parting shot lets not lose sight of the fact that porn should be fun and exciting for everyone. It is for me
