Why do you watch?

Interesting one this, and I've been pondering it over occasionally ever since that hideous excuse of a human being asked ages ago if anyone had 'used' Michelle Thorne. While his question was grotesque in the extreme, it does beg the question 'why do you watch'?

What goes through your mind when you watch porn? Personally, I find myself more attracted to the lesbian scenes, because we get away from the revolting attitude of said contributor (ie the guys using the girls for a shag, and the viewer getting off on the fact that could be him) but I'd be interested to know why you watch it and indeed if you even know why you do.

I'll start this off. I started watching pornography because it was on the list of recommended things not to do by my parents (this quickly turned into a list of things to do) - then it fulfilled in some senses a curiosity about sex (I'll never forget watching 'Better Sex 3' I took home from HMV one time to watch the first ever blowjob allowed on an '18' certificate). Then I reached the stage I'm at now. I watch porn now because I get off on watching girls (and occasionally guys as long as the girls are into it) getting off on raw animalistic lust ad wanton debauchery. I also like a tease as well, and the whole seduction scenario is a very big turn on for me - probably cos of my overly religious upbringing, the idea of being seduced into the 'evil' side where everyone is having a much better and more exciting time is a frequently recurring fantasy.

Anyway. Enough of this self indulgence. Let's hear from some of you lot.

Well I think my reasons have changed over the last ten years as have the types of porn I prefer. I too remember as a teenager buying a copy of The Lovers Guide which was the first time female genitals or male stiffies had been shown on an 18 cert. Prior to that I had only seen one hardcore film at a friends house. At the time I would have been happy with a vid with open-leg shots but these were also illegal. So having foolishly responded to an add from what I now know to be a David Sullivan company and recieving a 30 minute collection of shorts which were softer than Carry On films I gave up my search for a while. I soon found out where to get the proper stuff and found it all very arousing at first. Then at about age 22 I found I only got turned on if the girl was visibly turned on ie wet. Then my tastes narrowed even further to gonzo/amatuer where the girl was visibly aroused. Then followed a breif interest in kinkier german stuff like Harry S. Morgan but I soon tired of all that pissing and fisting. I started buying british stuff a couple of years ago when I found out from the internet about nice people like Yourchoice etc. But even this is geting too repetative. I think my reasons for watching were at first to see girls doing what I should not really be seeing them do. My reasons now are different. I would love to see something natural and unscripted where new girls just said and did what they felt like. Instead we see the same old fake routines and cliched gonzo themes where a girl pretends to be persuaded into doing something for the first time in front of the camera. If it was real it would be great. Thats why I like solo girl vids where the girl talks dirty and gives an insight into female fantasies without some male producer telling her what to say and do. Its only good if its the girl being rude of her own accord.
I think as fans we become addicted and become bored with whats on offer and always looking for something new which never lives up to our expectations. We might go through phases of being into a particular girl or fetish such as shaving, watersports, dirty talk, creampies, dwarfs in wellington boots etc etc but at the end of the day its still all shite. I like it when on the odd occasion I find a scene where the girl genuinelly goes wild and has fun. So why I recently also started to enjoy some of Roccos more intense scenes puzzles me. I think this question which Matt has posed may provide some complex answers if people are honest about the more basic human instincts which porn arouses e.g. mans desire to be dominant etc. I bet theres a few of us who had catholic educations/upbringings aswell. There is nothing more likely to give you an interest in something when your young than being told its a sin. I started buying The Sun with my pocket money when I was seven and cutting out page three which i kept in a scrapbook under my bed. Not for wanking of course but I always had a feeling of exitement at these images and finding shredded copies of playbirds in the park was great fun until i took them home and my mother found them. My dad was more laid back about it though as I discovered a couple of years later when I found his collection of vintage copies of Fiesta.
