Query to all you electronic wizards.
I own an excelent PAL only TV set. and tend to buy US sourced DVDs(NTSC) which I play on my computer. Now I would like to buy
a DVD player to play on my TV, but I understand that though the new units will play both PAL and NTSC it all depends on the TV set, and a PAL only set will not handle the output from a NTSC disc. If this is so, can some one confirm, and does this also apply to modern video tape players, which will also handle both types of tape, will an NTSC tape be playable on a PAL tele.
Very grateful for any help.

Re: NTSC/PAL
Most dvd players will play both pal and ntsc discs, but a ntsc disc will certainly not play on a pal only tv. You can buy dvd players with a ntsc to pal converter in them which is what you need. I sell dvd players for a living, suggest looking at pioneer, lg and aiwa models!
