Marcus while i don't know anything about your mates case,i do know that this law is in place to protect us from "the Black market" ie fags, booze, drugs, porn, cars, and other stuff people can import and not pay tax, duty etc on in this country.
yes we all agree these things should be cheaper in this country but the law is there to protect us from duty evaders and the like who pay no tax, infringe copyright, use cheap labour, cost us jobs, make us pay more tax,and generally make a living from the black market.if he was found guilty it is us the british public he is stealing from and therefore i think a fine is in order i'm sure you must agree with that, how much, well that is open for debate.
on another point, you make your vids in the uk,use uk girls (do they send entertainer forms to the tax people?),i assume you edit them in the uk and you sell most of them through a company based in amsterdam (your choice), and you say your company is based abroad.my point is for a product made and consumed in the uk no tax, vat, duty is paid here so no wonder mr blair and chums are not too keen and c and e are so interested.of course hc should be available in the uk and i think it is only a matter of time before it is.but when it does become legal will it end the rip offs, tax evaders, cash in hand, copyright infringements i for one think not.
and one final rant the bbfc does not make the rules on what is obscene the govenment of the day does.so why does everybody complain about them write to tony and let them get on watching films?
happy hardcore the mighty zasuna
