Porn Industry Targets Torrent Users

Interesting article. My opinion is pirates have had it far too easy for far too long.

Only the rich will be able to do anything like this and it'll be impossible to stop 'the death of porn' !

Your wrong Dave. Lawyers are taking this on as a no win no fee basis.

So anyone who owns the copyright to content can sue.

It's early days and I expect it will escalate.

They aren't even having to go to the expense of suing, they simply send out thousands of threatening letters, many of which will result in a quick settlement by frightened punters just to make it go away.

Yes that's of another case. This thing will snowball. Pirates are going to have to be careful.

Maybe if these porn sites didnt charge such huge amounts of money then guys wouldnt have to go to porn torrent sites. ?25 a month for a subscription to a site is just to much dont forget people have to pay there ISP a montly fee say ?20 plus u have ?12 for the landline rental, so in total thats ?56 per month. Why not say ?15 per month im sure a lot of folk wouldnt mind that it goes for the same with mainstream films if u price the average punter out of the market they will go elsewhere for it. Im not saying that people who download porn of torrent sites are doing the right thing there not but i can understand why they do it. Bottom line Drop ur subscription prices.

Shop lifters should try saying that to Tescos when caught.

"You charge too much for food, if you charged less I wouldn't steal it!!"

The "I can't afford it so I pirate it" is an empty argument and worthless. People still pirate music when Itunes is about as cheap as it will ever get.

The questions you have to ask yourself is.

Do I want to pay so others can pirate?

Or

Do I want others to pay so I can pirate it?
