Re: Lunatics
i've just browsed the forums using two different 56k dial-up connects. one was a bit sluggish but the other was absolutely fine.
i think it does come down to the isp concerned. the technical issues involved in the new forum arrangement are identical to those of the previous format. if there was a problem at our end, it wouldn't be related to the forums.
btw, the fast moving dial up was courtesy of . it might be worth checking them out as another alternative to your main isp.

Re: Lunatics
The posting of messages is getting slower. Could this be the mil taking over phone lines and causing interuptions? I tried to phone Magoo Junior and got a dial tone which suggested that BTs preference scheme is on. That is phones off in times of war. Believe me BT are knobs.

Re: Its the war IMHO
Took me four hours yesterday to get onto the internet
Just the pure volume on idiots tuning into get more info(as if there wasn't enough) on the current state of the War
Should be a law against having 24 hour a day coverage of War
cheers

Re: Its the war IMHO
Yep the days of having to wait for news to come back from the front are now long gone. 24 hour broadcasting on the TV, pictures from the front line as they happen, instant access on the net. Bet the army just love having to look after all the reporters who are going with them, as if they have not only to think of their own safety, but some reporter sent by his company just so he can be the first to report on events too.

Re: Its the war IMHO
Its not like they are reporting anything that is worth watching
Case in point....filming of landrovers travelling down a road at night that eventually arrive at some helicopters
Took 6 people(including 2 experts) half an hour to say they might be British landrovers and the helicopters might be American...why do we need to know?
Totally pointless drivel...someone should take the TV stations out
All we need to know is...We are at war.
Reporters are supposebly meant to be their so as to stop attrocities
but the military is feeding the reporters with what they want them to see
again...totally pointless
cheers
