Big Brother Is OK?

Post by buttsie »

Since Magoos 'I Hate Big brother' post I've taken it apon my self to delve deeply into the offerings of all networks in this timeslot(Australian that is)
and have come to the following conclusions

It resembles a sitcom but has no script but empowers and intrigues the audience in the fact that they are included in the ongoing evolution of the shows participants

I see no real difference apart from this between Big brother & Survivor other than the settings in this respect

Food for thought?

I had the choice at 7.00PM tonight between News,Sports,Neighbours,Home & Away & Big Brother

Maybe you have more choice in the UK but all I will say is that I don't see these people as degrading themselves

They are providing totally different type of TV program

Can't argue with that CAN YOU?

All these people are doing is entering a competition to win prizes and get a bit of exposure on National TV..Oh and the fun of the experience which most cynics have forgotten about

NO more degrading than appearing a porn film I would have thought?

Buttsie - We have much the same choice as you for early evening entertaiment. News, soaps etc.

We get the edited bits of Big Brother later in the evening when they think everyones at home to watch it after a days work etc, or you can watch it all day long on an interactive channel.....why anyone should I really don't know!

I agree watching BB all day would be mind numbing

Watching anything for 24 hours a day is silly
I know a few fools that watched the recent War non stop
They weren't journalists or website editors but just addicted to it-very sad really

I'd sooner watch the grass grow

In smaller doses is OK...very small doses

The fact that several of the house mates admit to sleeping for long periods to escape the boredom in the house says a lot
