60s and 70s pop music

still think its the best,i recently got white plains 1969-74,backbeat vol3 girl singers and bands featuring clodagh rogers,julie driscoll etc.

How exactly can you tell the musical difference between 60s/70s & 80s/90s Pop Music?

Its all light weight garbage IMO sent up brilliantly by Morris Minor & the Majors....Here Comes the Chorus or some such like

Heavy Metal,Rock,Punk,Jazz,Blues,Classical but never Pop
