just read he died aged 58,did some good instrumentals too in the 70s love unlimited etc.

I recall a great interview on Steve Wright. He said his voice broke overnight. When his mother asked him what he wanted for breakfast he spoke in his new, booming voice and she nearly jumped out of her skin!
