A documentary charting the fortunes of the first top-shelf magazine to be made widely available in Britain is on Channel 5 tonight at 10.35 pm.
Launched in 1969 by Bob Guccione they filed for bankruptcy earlier this month.
Seems odd not to see the name Penthouse on the top-shelf anymore!

Interesting subject but badly made production. C5 hired the wrong producers to make this one unfortunately. A shame, it should have been much better.

I really enjoyed it. Nice, interesting range of interviewees - story well told. I thought it was a pretty well made programme.
And in my dreams, someone would hire Lisa Rogers to do a dirty talking video dressed in a basque, stockings & suspenders (and various other outfis). She wouldn't even need to get naked.
